Please see below for a list of frequently asked questions about 14 WEST’s boutique studios:

Q. Is there a resort fee?  No

Q. What is the bed tax rate? 14% (City of Laguna Beach)

Q. Is parking available? Yes, we have enclosed onsite parking with in and out privileges. Parking Fee: $15 per night 

Q. How close is 14 WEST to the beach? 14 WEST is approximately 200 steps across from the ocean.

Q. What size beds are in the studios? You will find either a Single Queen bed, Single Queen bed with Sofa sleeper, Single King bed, Single King bed with Sofa sleeper or Two Queen beds in the studios. We can also put a single foldaway bed in your studio at no extra cost.

Q. What is the layout of the studio? The rooms have the same layout, and each studio has unique furnishing, it has a full kitchenette and bed (as described above), other rooms has a comfortable seating combination of either a sofa, lounge or dininnette set and a walk-in closet.

Q. Is there a restaurant on site? We do not have a restaurant on-site, however there are tons of restaurant within walking distance.  

Q. Do you have A/C? Yes

Q. Will there be someone there to check me in if I arrive early in the morning or late at night?  There is a staff onsite during Friday to Tuesday from 8AM to 1230AM and Wed. and Thurs. from 8AM to 430PM.   The confirmation letter you will receive provides instructions on how to check-in.

Q. What time is check in and check out? Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 11 am. 

Q. What is your deposit and cancellation policy? We certainly hope you don’t have to cancel…but we know things come up. Based on only having 14 rooms our cancellation policy is a bit more sensitive than larger hotels.

Upon reservation we require 50% of the reservation to be charged on your credit card. If you need to cancel, contact us more than 7 days prior to your arrival and we will refund you 100% of your deposit. If you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled arrival then our policy is to either reschedule your reservation (subject to rate changes) or we retain the initial 50% deposit. And finally, if you haven’t cancelled your reservation prior to 3:00PM the day before your arrival you will be charged 100% of the reservation.

Q. Is there daily housekeeping? Our housekeeping policy is to refresh your room on a daily basis.  Please consider hanging up your towels and having us change your linens, as we make an effort to conserve water and protect our beautiful beaches.  Place the Teak Wood Block on your door if you would like us to “Refresh” your room. We have an in room binder that gives you more information about refreshing your room.

Q. Is 14 West pet friendly? Due to our boutique nature we have a limited amount of pet friendly rooms. Please inquire for availability.

Pet Policy
Pets are welcome at our California Pet Friendly hotel. There is a $75 one time non-refundable pet cleaning fee per stay, as well as a $25 per night boarding fee. We welcome all well-mannered, disease free four legged guest. No more than two pets may occupy each guestroom. Pets must be leashed or held in arms in all common areas and must be 25lbs. or less.

Q. What is the smoking policy? All rooms are non-smoking. A $250 Fine for smoking in the rooms will apply.
